Pot Limit & No Limit

Pot Limit and No Limit poker are exciting games and are often considered to be a purer form of poker over Limit structures. Once you know the basic rules of limit poker, the rules of Pot Limit and No Limit are easy to pick up. The only difference between these games and Limit poker are the betting amounts.

General betting rules for Pot limit:

Minimum eligible raise: The raise amount must be at least as much as the previous bet or raise in the same round. Example: If a player bets $10.00 then the minimum raise by the next player is $10.00 for a total bet of $20.00.

Maximum eligible raise: The size of the pot. This amount is defined as the total of the pot plus all bets on the table plus the amount the active player must first call before raising. Example: The pot is $20.00, the first player to act for the round bets $15.00 and the next player calls $15.00. The next player to act has a maximum eligible bet of $80.00. This $80.00 is the total of his $15.00 call and $65.00 raise. The $65.00 raise is equal to the $20.00 pot + the first player's $15.00 bet + the second player's $15.00 call + his own $15.00 call.

General rules for No limit:

Minimum eligible raise: This is the same as Pot Limit - the raise amount must be at least as much as the previous bet or raise in the same round. See example above.

Maximum eligible raise: All of the chips you have at the table.
As you can imagine, these games can be very exciting and at times produce large pots.

All In Policy for No Limit and Pot limit tables:

When it is your turn to act in a No Limit or Pot Limit hand and you timeout by not acting within the allowable time, your hand will be FOLDED if you are connected to the game server
This rule is in place to protect the integrity and fairness of the games for all players.
